Gite de Pechine, sits on a ridge,
offering
magnificent panoramic
views to the Ariège Pyrenees yet it is sheltered,
warm and basks in
sunshine for most of the year. Our accommodation is
split into two spacious, well equipped, recently fully renovated apartments, that can be
rented separately or as one large gite. We also offer dinner, bed and
breakfast in our ground floor rooms that also provide guests with a large,
comfortable,
private lounge plus outdoor seating.
We have plenty of space for adults to relax and
unwind, and for the little
ones to run and play. We have an ever
increasing number of pets and
farm animals
that have all been rescued; they are all very friendly and very much
part of life at Pechine. Our children, Joseph and Eva, go to the local
village school, speak fluent French and are more than happy to share their
toys and garden! We live in a superb area, that is very pretty, has
many amenities, shops, restaurants, animal and adventure parks, etc.
We are in easy access of the wonderfully cosmopolitan Toulouse and the
beautiful medieval Foix. The majestic mountains offer
a magnetising backdrop to Pechine; you can be in the high mountains in 40
minutes.
One thing that is also very apparent to visitors here is the
diversity and sheer number of plants, animals, birds and butterflies that
are seen throughout the whole area, and particularly around Pechine.
You certainly have an opportunity to be close to nature.

Our Bit for the Environment - Think Green
We like to promote a little bit of environmental awareness, so if you are interested or concerned with carbon offsets, organic foods, recycling or just being a little 'green' on holiday then maybe the Ariege and Gite de Pechine could be for you? We try to conserve water and electricity, plus grow our own 'organic' vegetables, and wherever possible support our local shops, farmers and services.
